Each winery offered a unique experience and the knowledgeable staff provided a wealth of information about port wine. We also learned fascinating details about the wine regions and their distinct characteristics and some historical insights from our guide. The cancelled boat tour due to the weather was perfectly compensated with extra wine. Overall, it was a wonderful way to conclude our trip in Porto.”

There is a lot of travel throughout the day but our guide Rita was out of this world she made the experience so amazing through every adventure. The views are stunning on the drives and the vineyards are unforgettable. The wine is so good and definitely an experience you need to do when in Porto or the area. Some of the most beautiful views I have ever seen. Was also able to connect with so many other people in the group and we all had a great time on the bus back!”

My only dislike was the size of the tour group and the fast pace/speech of the tour guide. Made it difficult to comprehend all info at times and to ask questions. For the price would recommend.”

“This is a perfect intro of the Douro Valley! It’s a beautiful must see location from Porto. Our guide Manuela was funny, kind and knowledgeable. It’s definitely worth the money. A few people did get quite nauseous on the way there and back, so I would recommend preparing plastic bags or nausea medicine. It is definitely worth it if you only have a short time in porto and can’t go stay in the Douro valley!”

Our excursion included lunch, with a glass of wine and two wine tasting sessions. The second was at the oldest Port lodge, dating from 1638. We also enjoyed a boat trip down the River Douro.
