Each winery offered a unique experience and the knowledgeable staff provided a wealth of information about port wine. We also learned fascinating details about the wine regions and their distinct characteristics and some historical insights from our guide. The cancelled boat tour due to the weather was perfectly compensated with extra wine. Overall, it was a wonderful way to conclude our trip in Porto.”

“Our tour guide, Camila, was incredible. The love she has for her culture and the engagement made for great atmosphere. The food? WHOA! I don’t eat seafood, had felt bad stating that when I booked and had already decided I would just give my seafood dishes to my partner. As soon as Camila found this out when we checked in she texted all the restaurants that were going to serve seafood. When we got to each restaurant they had an alternative dish for me. “Pedro was a fantastic guide. So knowledgeable about the history of Portugal and the food of the entire Iberian peninsula. We had six stops and plenty of time to enjoy each one. “Very informative tour that provide an interactive means of explaining the overall process of producing port. And a great way to end the tour with the Fado and tasting. My only dislike was the size of the tour group and the fast pace/speech of the tour guide. Made it difficult to comprehend all info at times and to ask questions. For the price would recommend.”

“This is a perfect intro of the Douro Valley! It’s a beautiful must see location from Porto. Our guide Manuela was funny, kind and knowledgeable. It’s definitely worth the money. A few people did get quite nauseous on the way there and back, so I would recommend preparing plastic bags or nausea medicine. It is definitely worth it if you only have a short time in porto and can’t go stay in the Douro valley!”

“This was a well organised and interesting excursion. Miguel, our guide for the day, was very knowledgeable about wine making in the Douro region and kept us well informed. Our excursion included lunch, with a glass of wine and two wine tasting sessions. The second was at the oldest Port lodge, dating from 1638. We also enjoyed a boat trip down the River Douro.
