“Overall, this activity was as advertised but not as ‘hands on’ as we would expected for a ‘cooking’ class…it was more of a ‘demonstration’ class. Both hosts were very nice and attentive to our needs and questions.”

“What an amazing immersion experience with Chef Pedro! We started off the lesson visiting a local market where we shipped for fresh seafood and vegetables for our ingredients. While there we also got to sample local bread and cheeses. The class itself was a bit of work but lots of fun. Even my teenage daughter enjoyed rolling up her sleeves and learning to cook. We made a 4 course meal consisting of bread soup, mussels, seafood captaplana and orange torte. We also got to sample some oysters and goose barnacles. All in all a wonderful way to spend 1/2 a day learning more about the Portuguese culture. Highly recommend!”

“I wanted to do something different and fun while I was in Lisbon. This was my fifth trip so I had done most of the tourist things. Paulinho's cooking class was just fantastic. She is very organized and considerate as to what you want to make. I cannot recommend this class enough. Do not let the ferry ride(10 min) deter you. It is very easy and your subway pass works on this as well.”

“It's difficult to get the timings right but the Time Out Market was packing up by 2pm when we arrived. We went back another day on our own though and bought some fruit. The choice of stops was good, each had its own character and style of food and service.”
